This Joomla! 1.0.x mambot allows searching of the forums from the Joomla! search screens.  This mambot connects thru the CB Connector and as such also filters out posts and topics that the viewing user does not have permission to view.

This Joomla! module allows you to show various linkable forum information in a Joomla! module with ease. Some examples include showing the last topics, last posts, new PMs, active users, and much more. Once installed multiple copies of this module can be made to show various information in each module. This module uses the CB Connector framework to make sure that the viewing user can only see information which they have permission to view in the forum.
